Lucy Bronwen Davies

Surface Gallery

As an Ecological Artist, Lucy investigates a multitude of materials, often found, or foraged from her daily environments.

Painting, weaving, carving and sculpting biomorphic forms through a mindful and intuitive process, her work references the intrinsic connections and interdependence of our natural world. Interacting with her local and rural environments, she explores themes of what it means to be at home in the world to question her own connection to nature, as well as confronting her audience on their own sense of belonging.

Lucy is passionate about creating opportunities for the public to engage in more creative activities and workshops on themes surrounding nature and well-being. Since recently completing her BA in Fine Art at NTU, she has explored community art through her role as Arts Engagement Coordinator at Surface, and her involvement with Connecting Notts.
