ChalleNGe and Connecting Notts – out and about

International Youth Day

Connecting Notts were really pleased to join the UNESCO City of Literature on Saturday 10 August at the new Central Library to celebrate International Youth Day! Follow @nottmcityoflit to find out more about their upcoming events and activities!

We had fun with our new badge machine and will definitely to bringing it along to future events!

Here are a few pics from the Connecting Notts stall on the day:

Green Hustle 2024

Connecting Notts had an amazing day running one of many creative activity stalls at Green Hustle at Old Market Square on 1st June 2024. Lucy B Davies and Catherine Gittens led creative opportunities to create with nature, and we had a lot of love for the Insect Discovery corner too!

Check out Green Hustle to find out more and get involved next year!

Positively Empowered Kids Festival

It was a privilege and joy to be part of this year’s PEK festival on 23rd June 2024, running a creative stall for children and families. We had fun connecting with nature, experimenting with leaf rubbings and watercolour crayons; and adding speech bubbles to our youth voices wall about what makes us happy. Thank you to the amazing organisers, Jackie and Claire from Positively Empowered Kids and all those who took part!

Youth Partnership Lab

We held our first Youth Partnership Lab at Antenna on 18th March 2024, bringing together other Youth boards from arts organisations around the city, including representatives and students from both Nottingham Trent University and University of Nottingham for an evening of creativity and conversation about how we can all collaborate and connect to shape more opportunities for young people interested in the arts.
